WooCommerce plugin, free on wordpress.org

Paidcheck

Finds WooCommerce orders that Stripe has taken payment for but the store still shows as pending, failed or cancelled, after a missed webhook or a closed tab. It only reads: nothing in the store or in Stripe is changed.

The problem

Paid in Stripe, stuck in the store.

A customer pays, Stripe confirms the payment, but the webhook never arrives or the customer closes the tab before the redirect. The order stays pending or gets cancelled. Nobody notices until the customer writes to support asking where their order is.

What the free plugin does

  • Checks orders paid with the official WooCommerce Stripe gateway that are pending, failed, on hold or cancelled, over the last 1, 2 or 7 days.
  • Looks up each order’s payment in Stripe and sorts the results into four groups: paid but stuck, amount or currency mismatch, no link to a Stripe payment, and payment still in progress.
  • Shows the amount, the Stripe payment ID, the time and both statuses for each finding.
  • Uses the Stripe key already saved in the gateway settings, so there is nothing to set up.
  • Read-only. It never changes an order or anything in Stripe.

Not supported: WooPayments, where the store has no Stripe keys of its own.

Paidcheck Pro, in development

Pro is meant to find it before your customer does.

The free plugin finds the problem when you run the check.

  • Scheduled checks over any time window, not only when you open the report.
  • An email or a Slack message when a new paid-but-stuck order appears.
  • Fixing an order’s status with one confirmed click, with a log of every change and protection against processing an order twice.
  • Later: PayPal and Mollie.

We will write once, when Pro is ready, and send nothing else. See our privacy policy.
